The complexity of the current threat landscape in cyberspace has demanded that the technological innovations and government policies to go hand-in-hand along. Hence the need for public-private collaboration is key to address these challenges. This need combined with the great demand in skilled workforce that will nurture the fast-growing ecosystem has demands for what is called a ‘triple-helix model’ that synergizes collaborations need to be between governments, academicians and corporate organizations.
The Netherlands has been in front-runner in this model where the government deploys robust policies toward safeguarding society – including for digital protection – and the business and education sectors are strongly involved.
