DESCRIPTION

The time taken to develop vaccines for deadly pandemics might have reduced in comparison to many pandemics in the past. If we travel back in time, we can see how the 1918’s Influenza claimed 50 million lives before any vaccine was discovered. After battling for hundreds of years, we have a polio vaccine that can eradicate the disease from the face of this world!

The COVID-19 situation forced us into lockdown and it may be a window of opportunity for the systems to improve. When governments and other systems work together to develop a vaccine for COVID-19 in the shortest time, a lot may change in the process of discovering a vaccine for any pandemic in the future as well.
